Single row tapered roller bearings
Single row tapered roller bearings are designed to carry combined loads, i.e. radial and axial loads acting simultaneously. The projected lines of the raceways intersect at a common point on the bearing axis to provide true rolling action and thus low friction torque during operation. The axial load-bearing capacity of tapered roller bearings increases with the increase of contact angle α. The size of the contact angle is usually between 10° and 30°, and is related to the calculation factor e. The larger the value of e, the larger the contact angle.
